There is nothing wrong with a girl asking a guy out. I think a lot of guys actually like it when a girl makes the first move, it takes the pressure off of them, and why not? Why should the guy always have to be the one to potentially face rejection?
As far as what should you tell him, tell him what you feel. Let him know how much you enjoy being around him, how he makes you happy and that you want to take the relationship to the next level. What's the worst thing that could happen? It would be far worse for you to keep wondering "what if?" than the slight possibility that he may not feel the same way towards you that you feel for him. You'll never know until you say something. Who knows, maybe he feels the same way but is scared of what you think.
Good luck!

well first of all he is a lucky guy to have you love him so much. As a guy, I respect the girls who have the courage to honestly say how they feel and it is not embarassing at all. However, if you wanna ask him out make sure he is not seeing anyone else at the moment. My suggestion: be honest, tell him you have feelings for him and you want him to be more than a friend to you but don't put him in a difficult situation by adding that no matter what he feels about this you wish you remain good friends and have fun together. Good Luck

There have already been some good answers as to the methods of asking a guy out. My advice is, don't wait around for him to ask you! Because he might not. Sometimes the girl just has to make the first move. Besides, the sooner you ask him out, the sooner you can stop feeling awkward about it.

I can't understand why girls are afraid to ask guys out. Most men would be over the moon to be asked out.
So just start off buy saying, "Hi there, I really like you, and wondered if you would like to go out with me some night"
Or pick some movie, that you know he and you will enjoy, and ask him if he'd like to go see it with you. Offer to go dutch, if it makes it easier for you,
Just do it, you'll be glad you did.

Hi,
It is something cool and he should really like it! Even if he does not you should re-ask him some other day. Probably he won't say no.
I enjoy it when they ask me out cause it is fun!

you go up to him, and say: "hey, I was thinking about doing _________ tonight". Would you like to come with?"
It's not freaky or anything. If he is shy, he might say no. Ask again a few days later after he has had time to think about it!

Dont ask him out straight out! Just be like, "So when you gonna ask me out?" He'll get the point! Believe me!
