It's okay to be infatuated, but don't let it go any further. You'll likely regret it for a long time if you do.

Be friends, but draw the line at that.

No, not insane, it'is usually a crush, that lots of young girls have with older men. They are usually more self assured, and better off, knowledgable, etc, than boys of your own age.
Many young women, marry older men, for that reason. Some times it's a daddy thing. But you would be better able to see if that is it.
If he is handsome and self assured etc, its easy to see the attraction, you may have for him.
Just be sure, you don't do anything silly. But you are an adult now, so should know your own mind.
Anyway, rest assured, you are pretty normal, so don't worry about it. Just enjoy the feeling, it may or may not last.
Oops seems you may be a guy, sorry, but the same holds true, i suppose.

no.... you are not insane....

ahhh..... it's hard to give you advice on this.

first of all..... you as an 19 years old might seem quite cute to her

as well. which means that your chances is actually not bad.

you could try kissing her on the cheek or huging her more and

see if she seems to be happy afterwards. or kiss her when you

two are alone together..... don't be too quick so she can douge it

if she wants. say something nice to her like "you are so pretty".

and then lean in and kiss her gentelly on the lips. no tonge. if she

is pissed off then.... say sorry.... tell her you like her and can't

help your self. if she is amused or happy looking, hold her very

gentlly so your cheek touches hers, and wisper to her that you

want to see more of her.... alone. if she hesitate..... that means

there is hope. convince her that you only wnat to make her happy.

nothing more.... and you will not talk, write or type about it....ever.

the problem with this advice is that.... 1. she might be an up tight

person and be really pissed off, even tell your mom, or stop

talking to your mom altogether. 2. you two might end up married.

she is....after all....your mom's age. but you might not be able to

help it if you two fall deeply in love. lotta bad can come of this.

are you sure you can't find someone closer to your age to be

infatuated with?

My 45 yr. old son, divorced with 2 kids is with a real sweetie who is 25. His daughter is 18. Is this insane? Maybe, but they are very happy together. He is youthful (in a good way) and she is mature. So, who knows. Age is not the only thing in a relationship.

Is it real or just a crush? If you think something is there, talk to you, see if she is interested, but you must be discrete.
She could open up a whole new world to you, if you are both interested.
Ask her is you can have a discreet conversation with her, if she says yes then talk to her…see which way the wind blows.

Infatuation is the key word. You two are at two totally different places in life. Find someone closer to your own age. You'll be happier...

alot of ppl have crushes on older men and get infatuated by them. especially if there are celebrities. sometimes those guys seem so much better than the ones that are ur own age cuz they are more mature and know more. so ya its normal.
