You will never achieve God. You are the creation, not the creator. You can be exalted by God today. All you have to do to get that is to believe it. Meditation has nothing to do with that. You can achieve a lot by meditation. But it isn't God you are achieving.
You sound hindu. Is it something else?

Why does anyone follow any religion? People are afraid of the end of their existence and so they've devised fantastical stories with a creator(s) and an afterlife or rebirth. This also makes it easier to credit a god or blame a devil when they come across something they do not understand, rather than admit they are ignorant. As a species, we simply aren't evolved or advanced enough to understand everything, but science has already shown that most of these religious theories are highly unlikely (if not impossible) to be real. We are a part of nature and will be recycled back into the world just as all matter and energy is. We are not above animals...we ARE animals. Wake up, people!

Two donuts a Xanax and a pack of..................NO!!! You can't ACHIEVE God. YOu can have FAITH and hope that what you believe is the right one to NOT get you to some horrid place when you die. It's all a big crap shoot really, there is over 6 billion people on the planet. There are 600 different religions or belief systems. So just follow your heart and be a good, honest person and hope that you are true to yourself, cause whatever powerful God there is will know. Good Luck

If by achieve you mean to get to know God then the best way to achieve the getting to know God then meditating on God's Word the Bible is the only way to do that, but by meditating I don't mean going into some trance, that is not meditationas going into a trance people empty their minds where as meditating means conscious thought, thinking on what one reads, so to meditate on Gods Word would mean to study it and reason on it think about it! because to think about what one is reading from the Bible actually begets understanding with God's help as this is what he requests us to do(John17:3)

I'm not sure what JFLY is talking about because the Bible is being proven by Science more and more each day! God can not be achieved but he does seek a relationship with you. Jesus died on the cross for you and me and everyone else that has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Through the blood of Jesus Christ we can come to the Father. God loved you so much he sent his son. All you have to do is see that he did it for you! Pick up a Bible and see for yourself.

Well, you could take the ultimate mystical journey of dying- you would certainly find your answer there.
But is you speak of SATORI, escape from SAMSARA, awakening to NIRVANA- finding the face you had before your parents were born, and waking up to your Bhudda-self- the anwers is NO- if you believe in Zen Bhuddism especially- only direct empirical experience of the eternal holiness will set you free- although meditation can be achieved in many ways.

Meditation is the best way to achieve Oneness. All master teachers including Jesus have said that the kingdom of God is within.
Luke 17 (KJV)
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Yes. The way to God is thru Jesus Christ his Son. John 3:16 says that God so loves the world that he sent his only begotten son that whoever would believe on him should not perish but have everlasting life.He also says in the book of John "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life

I would agree with LP S. But I would differ on one point. Read whatever translation that speaks to you best. Alot of people enjoy the old Classic language of the King James Version thinking it to sound very poetic. But often people new to exploring Christianity find it archaic and out of date making it difficult to understand. Modern english translations seem to help. A good one to start out with if you're just exploring Christianity is "The Message". Is a novel style paraphrase and isn't great for indepth study but the contemporay style and novel style flow really have made an impact on a lot of people.

Do you mean enlightenment? Or oneness? With God?
Meditation and prayer is the best way. Ecstatic dance is also good, but you have to start with the basics, meditation and prayer.
