No. I've got nothing against either country - I'm just getting tired of US soldiers being sent to bail out other countries. Our soldiers die and the US gets nothing but criticized.

What China needs to ask themselves is "If we attack Taiwan, will the United States get involved militarily?" The threat of being attacked is one way to prevent war. We have a lot at stake with China. We shouldn't be entertaining the thought of war. We should be trying to preserve the peace and continue on in a mutually beneficial relationship. It's a pretty delicate balance to maintain trade and foreign policy agreements while threatening retaliation for invading Taiwan. The problem with Taiwan is that they are a Democratic government and China is Communist. If the United States were to become involved militarily against China I don't think we would do it alone. We also wouldn't do it before exploring alternative solutions.

Considering we're obligated by treaty & US law, that it desperately serves US interests, and most of the region is in the process of aligning with Taiwan against a potential PRC attack (all for their own interests). Yes, we'll blow the livin crap out of them. I can't imagine we'd invade mainland China, but a big honkin Navy war, plus maybe N Korea would be stupid enough to come in on their team for a side show air/ground war. Beat everybody down to a blockade.

None of this happens before maybe 10+ years from now, more likely we end up in a cold war. You understand they've learned from the mistakes of the Soviets. They know we brought them down with economics, and China has built an economy for strategic reasons that can withstand that tactic & provide the resources to match our moves. They're dangerous, but you'd be amazed how fast our navy & air force could cut their force down to a real managable size.

I hope not! The whole Iraq thing is bad enough! I kind of doubt that we would, since there aren't any major resources in Taiwan. The only reason they don't call it Operation Iraqi Liberation is because the acronym would make it too obvious what the real goal is.

I personally think we need to just mind our own business for a while.

Oh thats a though one, China has nuclear weapons so it would be raither messy if things got out of hand.

The same way that the USA would not attack North Korea. North Korea is one of the few counties nowdays that could defeat USA invating force (If you want sources I get them) without the use of nuclear weapons

I think USA shouldn't be involved militarily, but diplomatic solution will be the best...like what has happened in Hong Kong.

I hope all of us say : NO MORE WAR, KEEP OUR PLANET SAFE.
