Honey you don't need those videos that is a waste of your money This maybe ghetto but it worked I let my 11 month old run around the house butt naked (if you don't have carpet) and every time she pissed I would tap her hand and tell her no and tell her to use the potty two weeks later potty trained.during the day at night I stopped giving her stuff to drink late then she was potty trained at night . Play games with them like hand washing song treat them when they go. Good luck :)

Try this. I did it with a one year old boy and now I am trying it with my daughter. Since he likes TV so much, then put the chair in the living room. I know this sounds wrong to do. But here is want I think worked. You st him down with the TV and a cup of water or juice. I think they work faster going through the body. Let him watch the TV. when he goes then clap and cheer for him going potty. Do this for a while. I did it for 2 weeks at a time. Then slowly start to move the potty back from the TV. As he starts to learn when potty time is, he will go faster. When the potty is no longer in sight of the TV, that is when you tell him that if he hurrays and goes potty quick he can get back to the TV. But don't push it. If you have to move a step forward sometimes, then do so. Just don't get mad or yell. But set a limit. don't let him push you all the way back to the starting position. Also try Potty Tim Elmo. That is seeming to help.

I don't know if it is the cheapest but it is the best, "Once Upon A Potty for Him." I looked for this video forever an finally found it at Babies R Us. It worked great!! I was having so much trouble potty training my son. But after he watched the video a few times he started going on his own. Now, after only a few months, he is completely potty trained. I'm not sure how much I paid for the video but I am definitly getting the "For Her" version for my daughter when its time to potty train her.

kids potty train in their own time my son completly potty trained shortly after turning 2
my daughter knew what she was suppose to be doing but had no interest in doing it she would sit on the toilet all day if i would let her she would get up put her own diaper on and pee in it!
One day she walked into the bathroom sat up on the toilet and went !
Give him some time maybe give him a book he likes to read or look at and let him sit there make sure you know he needs to go sometimes if they go on accident it clicks a little easier.

I agree with the others... the town library should have something. If you want to buy one I would look around at yardsales. Once there is no need for this type of material in a house people usually try to get rid of it and maybe you could find one pretty cheap.

8 months is pretty young to be potty training...I don't know if it's on video but there is a good book called "Everybody Poops." It's clear and simple for children.

You don't want to hear this but when they are ready they will go...if a child feels preasured they shut down or act out...the more you try the harder it gets...if you must don't force them...play games or let them watch you go and you both go at the same time...practice just sitting on it after meals...go to chapters or indigo but most likely the best books and videos are not the cheapest...good luck and be patient

I've allways heard that learning by example is the best way, dad should have taken him in the bathroom a long time ago.
