He was right to say it. The military cheered him and agreed with him. Why? Because when those little cowards come out from behind the skirts of women and children to fight, then we know who to fight. The insurgents who hurt our troops are doing so from hiding, bring it on, means come out and fight. The more they work, the more the opportunity to spot them and stop them.
Something else to note, check your news. The "insurgents" are killing far more Iraqis than Americans. It isn't just us they are fighting, it is their own people. That is the really incredulous thing.

I see your remark, and the Presidents later remark as wrong. I think bring it on is exactly the best thing he said, and taking it back was a big, big mistake.
First of all, those are NOT guerrilla insurgents, they are terrorists that want to kill you and me. If they were not fighting our troops in Iraq, many of them would be planning attacks on innocent western men, women and children civilians.
The problem with many americans is they somehow associate their own values with what they perceive as the same ideals as the muslim fanatics. They think if Americans all join hands and sing kumbaya, somehow the Islamo-fascists will soften their hearts, and we will all live happily everafter. La la la la la la la...
Nothing could be farther from the truth. In radical islamist eyes, might is right, and they see westerners/Americans as weak cowards. They use our own laws against us, they use our media against us, they even use our welfare system as they plan attacks against us.
It is no accident there has been no other terrorist attacks on US soil since 9/11. Bush got their attention, and angered them, drawing thousands of terrorists to Iraq soil to fight. They were tricked into leaving their hole in the walls where they planned their terrorist deeds, to the battlefield. I see that as a crafty strategy on Bush's part, not a waste of american lives.
As an american military vet who did his time in Iraq, I can testify first hand that the Iraqi people are extremely thankful that we are there, despite what the media is saying.
I see the mostly leftist people out and about protesting the war, and calling the current adminstration names. When I ask them for specifics about what we should do, they don't have a clue. All they can say is bad things about Bush. They are nothing more that cheap-shot artists with an almost fanatical hatred for Bush, and they have nothing constructive to say about anything. I ask a person that is vehemedly against the war who he/she voted for in the last election, and she said Kerry. She seemed not at all to realize that Kerry would have also gone to war, just as Bush did. Kerry, Bill and Hillary Clinton all said Iraq had WMDs...same as Bush believed.
Sorry, I don't mean to ramble on, but your question is far from neutral, it is just another jab at Bush. Like the liberal media, you have your agenda, and your "leading" question shows it. You write the "Insurgents" are hurting the USA troops? Maybe you think war is not a life and death struggle? Maybe you think war is clean and sanitized? You see war on t.v/movies and the actors come back to life to pose on ET. War is not a movie, it is real. People die, and our heroic soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines know they may die while patriotically serving their country...PROUDLY. They are not liberal cowards, like many of their political leaders, the media, cowardly university professors and their loud-mouth guttless students.
Bin Laden predicted American's don't have the stomach for a long war with many casualties, and he was half right. Our military has the guts for it, but half of our civilian population doesn't. The same half that would never serve in a million years. The half that thinks they can win the hearts and minds of radical islamists. The half that blames Bush when the likes of Bin Laden strike. I am sure there were those during WW2 that made excuses for Hitler, just like people today do for the Islamo-facists.
Bush started with a strong and fearless "bring it on", but now has been worn down by leftest in america who are always on the attack. They don't attack our real enemy, they attack our President.
"A house divided will surely fall".

The insurgents do not deserve the title. They are Islamic Fascists and they murder many innocent people in the name of their wacked out religion and still do it today. They carry out their cowardly acts so they can be with the virgins in paradise though all they will see when they die is the devil for the evil acts they done. Yeah if one had the guts to fight me without being strapped to a bomb I'd say bring it on. Sometimes you wonder if people forgot 9-11. I have not and the hell with them all. Death to the terroists.

I absolutely agree that that "cowboy" remark was more than uncalled for; It was dangerous... far too many of our men and women have been killed over that stupid statement.. with far more injured irreparably. It's too bad he is still in office, whether he's apologised or not... he does not belong in the white house... wish someone would ":brng it" to him!

Remember when Mr George Bush said .... "There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again."

No. The Republicans might want to forget that GW Bush particularly became the final Republican president. they might additionally want to forget the surprising screw united statesthat he became in charge for, like attacking a sovereign u . s . a . below fake pretenses, particularly Iraq.
