I have no problem with women competing against men on the Tour. And I think Michelle is a talented player. But it seems a little too soon given her lack of championship results. It's not a genderphobic reason it has all to do with the level of play. How can she be doing women a favor (if that is the case) if she fails miserably in a competion that she may not be quite ready for? I think it's great that she is trying, and if she chooses to she has every right to. But I am all too aware of the political climate in our society and feel that she may be getting forced or coerced into doing something for reasons that have nothing to do with the quality of golf. If she's doing it for herself, well, who am I to say that she should or should not try. But as a spectator, I don't want a watered down competition. I don't watch MLB because of over-expansion. That said, she still has to make the cut.

I don't understand why people think she has to be the best on the LPGA before she can play in PGA tournaments. Nike Tour players frequently try to get exemptions or fourspot (Monday qualifying) in order to get into PGA Tour events -- no one complains that they should have to win a Nike Tour event first.
I think her next step should be Q-School. If she does very well, she'll get her card like any other rookie; if she does moderately well, she'll get to play on the Nike Tour, which is better for her than the LPGA if the PGA Tour is what she ultimately wants.

I think she's totally overrated. I mean if anyone deserve's to at least try the men's tour it's Sorenstam. Wie hasn't even dominated the LPGA tour yet. It's like a 1st grade kid trying to solve an advanced calculus question. I think she needs to worry about the LPGA first and foremost. Also the media puts unnecessary pressure on "first woman" thing to attract audiences. It's kinda of dumb.

Seriously, I took a look in LPGA player list, and she was not in it. But, I think she is still 15-16. Playing in man professional golf might add to her advantage. Say spending a couple of years in PGA until she turns 18 then go to LPGA, by then I think she beats anybody. With the length of her drive currently, wait until she grows up!!

Same requirements as anyone to get in the PGA tournament. If she qualifies then she's in, if not, then she's not, just like the guys. Use the same critera. Most of the hundreds of guys who play the tournaments don't win. And you are not questioning their rights to be there.

after not making the cut today.. i think she should wait a while.. she's still young and has plenty of time to improve her game..
wait a couple of years.. play against the females in the meantime.. and then when she thinks she's ready.. go ahead and try to step it up with the men again
oh yeah.. she's gonna be hot (once she turns 18).. ya gotta love the long legs!

She's overrated. She's never won on the LPGA level, so how does she think she's going to compete with the men.
