Eating Cake Batter

I have been eating cake batter since i was a little girl and never got sick. Of course there is some risk with raw eggs. But i have never gotten sick. Unless the eggs have a problem (like salmonella i think) you don't get sick.

Well I am 38 and been eating cake batter since i was a kid. Only after my mother would scrape it out we would lick the bowl. I guess if you ate more than a cup but it depends on your system. I have an iron stomach. LOL!

You can't eat too much batter, or you will get sick because of the raw eggs (of course)

If the eggs contain salmonella bacteria you could develop food poisoning, and eating too much of ANY food will make you sick.

My advice: use pasturized egg product (in the fridge @ the grocery store), and only eat a few spoonfuls. YUM!

If it did, I'd be dead by now! :-))

I have eaten a LOT of raw cake batter, and it has never made me sick.

As you know that the batter (mixture of flour, egg, and milk or water etc.) are possible source of germs in these days of Avian Flu. So, cook them well before tasting!
