try using a scotch tape to hold the ends of a shoelace and tie them up tightly before sealing it.. this shud do the job prettty much but make sure to use a good tape!

the little things are call epilettes(i think not sure)take take ,wrap it tightly in lue of the now removed plastic.you can burn the ends so these laces might fray.or just drag you butt to the dollar store and buy a new pair

You can't. Try wrapping Scotch Tape around the frayed ends.

They attach aglets at the factory. You can't do it at home.
