It's called sectarianism when it's based on religion.
It's called racism when it's based on race.
It's called sexism when it's based on sex.

True religion is a choice, and it is the one choice item normally protected by civil rights rules. Interesting.

I think so if you can hate another culture because there belief then you could easily hate another race! See my point see it is more easier to hate than to love and love is not that hard to do. But to brake it down just a little more most people have a problem about religion because it is something that they cannot see so since they cannot see what we believe then why should we follow it.

We humans have a problem with things we don't understand, we either persecute it or we try to kill it that simple. In this world you have so many people that hate it is hard to tell from the ones that don't. But like I said before it is in lots of ways racism.

The word you are thinking of is BIGOT. That's when you hate someone based on any broad generalization - assuming that they are hateful because you heard people like them were hateful once upon a time.

Racism has to do with race. Hence the term.

Hate is bad. Don't hate.

Racism is a form of prejudice. Basically, judging them before you actually know them based on their race. This often does lead to hatred. Both hatred and racism are bad.

Hating or being prejudice of people because of their religion is still hatred and prejudging. It's not racism, but that doesn't make it right.

God calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves (yes, even those who hate you). It's a tough call to follow. Every Christian struggles to do this.

Not racist, but prejudiced and bigoted, yes. Racist applies specifically to race. So you could be um... religion-ist, or faithist, or doctrinist..

Not unless the religion is racial. There are many forms of biases that have nothing to do with race.
