Italian chocolate gelato (it's like Ice cream - only smoother) from Trader Joe's is my favorite comfort food for a dessert. I first tried chocolate gelato in Italy on vacation - it was sooooooooooooooo good. TJ's comes close!

For the main course, comfort food, home made macaroni and cheese that's extra cheesy and creamy wins hands down.

Oh, and I should mention that sour dough bread from Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco fights hard to win out over the mac and cheese.

Let's face it - I like food :o))

Number one comfort food is a meal of tuna sandwiches (on whole grain wheat bread) with only mayo and mustard added to it. The sandwiches must be dipped in hot tomato soup instead of using a spoon, and eaten that way. Yum.

Any food that's prepared with love and care for the person who's going to take it, is comfort food.

USDA Select medium-rare prime rib with a side of perfectly seasoned mashed potatoes, garlic string beans, and a cold glass of sweet red wine. Ahh. Pure comfort.
