On June 6 the U.S. Senate will vote on the Marriage Protection Amendment (MPA) which defines marriage as being only between one man and one woman. Because of a power grab by activist judges like the one in Georgia, the MPA is the only way that the sacred institution of marriage will remain between one man and one woman.

Gay marriage has nothing to do with religion. Otherwise Priests would be married to alter boys. The problem is this: It deals with the insurance companies providing coverage for gay spouses. You would think sure. But what if gays marry and get divorced in a quarter of the time as normal people? Well then things like COBRA coverage start to become a burden for the insurance companies. Gay marriage is nothing about religion. It is all about money. The religious aspect is once again hindering the true path for solving this problem.

That is bad if we let the government control our rights . This is dictatorship and we are free. A lot of Christians are GAY ! This really pisses me off when the government tells the American people who they can love and marry. Those dudes are as crooked as the next so think on that! I will bet you some of those guys are gay, no, I know they are . Hell, why not bring back the days of Hitler! Bush is the worse thing to happen here. We are regressing !!!

I don't know about supporting it, but I don't really think we should be that opposed/offended by it. The way I see it is that even if a gay/lesbian person was going to get married w/ someone of the same sex or stay single for the rest of his or her life, it wouldn't really make a difference cause the fact of the matter is that they are still homo either way. So by telling homosexuals that they aren't allowed to get married doesn't really do much to llet them know about Jesus... it just gets them pissed off and have even more people in this world hating us Christians...

Ummmmm.....NO! God intended marriage to be between a man and a woman. Not the other way around. Jesus won't necessarily come back if everyone turns gay. Look what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah. The people there were so blatantly flamboyant about being gay and God destroyed the city. I think I would rather live than die for gay people.

If we don't define marriage as between a man and a woman then whats to stop some crazy guy from getting married to his dog just for the tax benefit or even his brother or sister? Gross! When will all this craziness stop?

I'm against gay marriage, all it does is lower the bar of morality. Aren't we as humans supposed to be more Holy than dogs?

Well unfortunately we cannot support it but we can love them just as Christ DOES.......I think many Christians forget that we still need to LOVE because we were at that place at one time. Although our sins may not have been being a homosexual but instead we might have murdered or stole or committed adultery. Boys and girls God views sin as sin. Whether you lied or raped someone it is all the same in God's eyes...When God saw his son Jesus on the cross dying for us God the Father saw ALL THE SINS OF THE WORLD ON HIS SON. Not homosexuality, not stealing, not any specific sin but ALL THE SINS OF THE WORLD. How come Christians can love an alcoholic and a drug addict and not a homosexual? Love them but unfortunately supporting them would be the same as supporting a person who likes to murder or supporting a person who likes to steal or lie.....

They should mind their own business.

Marriage between a man and woman does not ensure that the marriage will be sacred and treated with respect- please if that was the case then there would be no divorces.

So quick to meddle in other peoples affairs- they need to back off and let two consenting adults marry whomever they want.

Chrisitans are sheep- they are not God.

I think that it's not our position to judge people. If we believe something is wrong then we should chose not to engage in that activity, but that doesn't mean that we can tell other people that they are second class citizens and have no rights. The most important message from Jesus was to love everyone and judge nobody. These people will (like us all) be judged by God eventually and it is not anyone else's responsibility to keep them from sin as we are all sinners in our own ways.

Christians should support gay marriage because marriage is a civil right, and in the United States civil rights should be for all without respect to gender, religion, race, or sexual orientation.
