If he's a best freind, let him go. He will get ahold of you.

This is not depression. Depression is a clinical term used for long term symptoms of unresolved sadness, feelings of helplessness, loss of appetite, changes in sleep patterns, etc. It is a real illness that requires treatment. You are simply sad and upset that your friend is leaving, but you are not depressed, at least not yet.
I have been there...and the most awful part is feeling sad and not even knowing why.
If you have symptoms like I have described above a month after she leaves, see a doctor.

Unfortunately friends sometimes move away.
Like the saying goes... When one door closes another door opens.
Go out and make another good friend and with luck and cooperation you'll soon have another great friend.
It doesn't mean you have to sever ties with your current buddy either. With the Net and other means at your disposal you can still keep in touch also. Just not in person.

She may be moving away, but thank fudge for phone calls and MSN and the like eh? She's gone but not gone forever you can still talk to each other all the time and who knows you might see each other again soon, believe me it could be a lot worse...
At least you got a chance to know her.

i know the feeling
i just moved away
but i looked on the bright side
even though i couldnt do anything about i call her everyday
and e-mail her everyday
soon you will have new friends but none will take the place of her
what you can do is talk to her and e-mail her or try not to think about it
it will take you a while to get over it but you will
believe me

I know she will be missed and you have a right to grieve for your friend's moving away.......Call often, IM, email, or write letters to her.....And dear, don't think that it is wrong to hurt, it's perfectly normal. I promise it will get better in time.........

You'll get over it - though it might take a while. Being sad and being clinically depressed are two different things. Sorry your friend is leaving. :D

Well you can still talk to her on the phone or e-mail her or use instant messengers, so you won't be completly disconnected from her. And where ever she goes, she always remains inside you, inside your heart, inside your memories.

Its amazing how quickly you get use to someone being absent. Just give it a week, keep busy, and I think you'll be fine.
