Questions for muslims?

Quran says that murderers, and fornicators should be executed. And that those who speak lies should have their tongues cut out. if these laws were implemented to the letter and taken as literal truths today no muslim will be alive. taken literally mohomed should have been the first muslim to face these punishments.
Am i right?

All religions have gross contradictions. It survives because it tolerates those that choose what they wish to believe. Mohammed fondled a 9 year old girl as his wife. Yet he would have beaten and killed anyone doing the same. Religion will be the end of us all.

So by readin all the answers, ure questions about punishments seem to have been answered but no 1 explained about the 9 yr old girl Hazrat Aisha (RA) So i'll take the liberty of doin that.

FIrst of all to all u people who think the prophet was a pedophile, shame on u. Back then, EVERYWHERE in the world, not just the mid-east, not just the Muslims, females got married once they were old enough to bear children. It is a fact that some get mature faster then some other females, same as in males.

When the prophet got married, it was the marriage contract, like a marriage certificate, so now they were married, but she was not living with him, that was when she was still a kid. When she hit puberty she moved in with him. There is nuthin wrong with that, since this marriage was not forced on her, as that is not allowed in Islam. It was not pedophilic because they were married.

Now dont get me started on people that dont no history and dont thnk that ladies this young got married back then, cuz theres ample proof. if needed, i shall provide.

I dont no why people get so ticked off at that. back then there were no age limits on marriages, it was not like now. and that goes for all religions. She was well respected, well loved, and she happens to be one of the most loved people in Islam. For ne1 to even quesiton the reason for this marriage is propostrous!

You are Wrong !

I urge you to read more and provide source of these information as there's is no cutting ones tongue in Islam. It is people like you who quote Islam out of context knowing nothing about it give a bad name for Islam.

The punishments prescribed in the quran are indeed taken seriously and for the implementation of such laws there are some pre conditions it is said that tie your camel and then pray to god if you let the camel lose and pray you cant blame god for losing it.

Likewise before we can lash a person for drinking we need to make sure under a Islamic government that there are NO Liquor shops so Islam prescribes a system to us which is prevention is better than cure. (so even after banning of liquor shops if someone drinks and there were witness then he will get lashes - sounds very practical right)

Mate Islam is a complete system of how a human should go about his life, from the god who created him. who will know better than him who created us ?

Ok, now that we have got away with your allegations, prophet moahhmed was the last prophet chosen by allah who will guide the humankind until the last day, is it logical for you to even think that he should be put to death ?

The problem with non-muslims is that they tend to think illogically like christians making god a father and jesus his son isnt it common sence that god is supreme and he will not create a son
who is a sinned human it is all part of lack of understanding or plain ignorance

Mohammad is the greatest man lived on this earth and many westren fair scolars agree on this. It need some search with open mind and heart and the truth is evident. why dont you just tell me the so called sins committed by prophet Muhammed(P.B.U.H.).
I m quite sure that u dont know ISLAM at all. The only thing you know about islam is the Jehad, the real meaning of which is often misunderstood by many people on earth. Why dont you just read the Quran once, try to understand wat Islam is all about, i m sure then u'll be able to understand islam. It is actually a way of life which is so much scientific in itself

you raise some serious points there, yet it seems some radicals take these actions to extremes & i think it's because they can.Not because they should...if you look at some of the atrocities that have occurred,hitler, milosevich, saddam, bin laden, & you know there's more to add, really what have they accomplished & why are people fooled to believe in them.i understand why they were happy when 9-11 happened,clapping & cheering in the oppressed middle east areas,palestine to name one, against the us ways & ideals about sex, freedom, democracy, & overall us policy towards them & it seems to me they were targetting the us(government) & attacked the us people among others instead to put in their two cents about how we deserve it for actions& positions our government takes & for the way we live in freedom for better or for worse!!!!!!!!!so how is that religion justified to the other people in that religion that are peaceful, i know some very nice people that are of the muslim religion & i don't get why these people hurt those people in the name of allah....except that terrorists are in all religions

Quran doesn't say that liars should be cut their tongues, but if they witness and swear that they'll say the truth and they say lie, their swear never be accountable.
-Prophet didn't kill anyone.
