my neighbor doesn't have medical insurance so she has to go to the free clinic. she had thyroid cancer and both thyroids removed now. she found a lump where she had the cancer,they did a cat scan and said "we found something in your sinuses and where you had cancer and also something on you right lung".the clinic is making her wait to see a specialist because of no insurance,they keep telling her it all takes time to get in to the specialist.mean while she is a nervous wreck. so she talked to the lady incharge of the clinic and got no where. my question is who can she contact to get some answers to get the results of what they found, they told her a specalist has to read the cat scan to say what they found. she has been waiting almost 3 weeks. if it was me i'd sure want to know ASAP. PLEASE help

I'd find another specialist to go to, call the clinic back and tell them if it's cancer, the delay can cause more growths, and at least get a copy of the report, she is entitled to that, so she can read it and see what it is, then prepare to ask questions to the specialist. In the waiting time, hopefully by asking for another doctor will be shorter. She can research treatments, etc but she is entitled to a copy of the report. The hospital where the scan was done will send a report to the specialist and her clinic. All she has to do is go in and ask for it, maybe sign a form to get it.
