Cricket is getting spayed but we're gonna breed the other chihuahua's because e lot of people are asking us for them. So all the puppies will have great homes.

IF you can find loving homes for ALL your puppies I would say go for it. Otherwise, be kind to Cricket and have her spayed. She'll live longer and have less health problems too.

Dear Mary G,

Better spay(female)/neuter(male) your dog. Not only you can reduce the chances of getting deseases (cancer and stuff) but also can calm them down a little bit around other dogs especially in heat season.
However, according to some experts, make sure you spay your dog (after 1 year old at least) to give them a chance to grow and develop the hormone, tissue and muscles properly. Some people prefer to spay at young age because the younger your pup the shorter time to heal the wound! So it is your call now. Finally, it also can control dog population in general. I am sure you dont want your girl to be knocked/raped by other male in the neighbourhood especially the ugly ones! Ke ke ke ke ke Too many dogs in this world already and many dogs are left unwanted without proper care. Make a change!

Spay, because there are too many unwanted animals and also if you don't the a temperamental and the mark all over. And the females also bleed. And not to be real nasty but have you ever gone over someones house when the don't spay an animal the smell of pee can knock you on your a$$ and the smell stays on everything, so when you go out that is what you smell like.

Dogs and cats should be spayed. Dogs from 51/2 months before their first season, this reduces the risk of mammary tumours later in life and prevents pyometras (when the uterus becomes infected and fills with pus). all of these are life threatening conditions, so why would you not spay. Only breed from dogs if you are fully aware of the process and the fact that she may need a caesarian, which isnt cheap. Dont forget you need to find good homes.

Unless you've got the money to breed (for one dog litter, I think the estimate is roughly $5000), the time to show, and are breeding show or working dogs, then yes, you need to spay.

There are a ton of Chihuahuas and chi mixes dying in shelters right now.

The people asking you for puppies could adopt one who's in danger of dying instead.

YES is the only answer. There are too many unwanted animals who need a good home. All it takes is one time and your dog could be preggers.

Don't let your emotions rule. Go adopt a "baby" who needs a home instead of adding to the population.

i think its better to spay them, its better for their health and they live a longer and happier life. and there are so many unwanted animals out there. i wanted to fix and spay the 2 dogs i have, but im not the actually owner so i have no say in it. if they were both mines, i would fix them.!

Get them fixed. It helps reduce the millions of puppies/kittens that are in shelters with no one to adopt them.

breeding is useless because you aren't a certified breeder so you have no right to charge money for them.

people should be adopting those animals that need homes before buying one. they need love just as much and are really wonderful.

(just trying to spread the word)

Much better to spay your pet. You will find that it will be more loving and gentle. There are too many unwanted pups put down because no one will adopt them. If you are really planning on mating your pups, please, please think about the path you are about to take. It is a huge responsibility and very costly just to produce a litter. Good luck with whatever path you take.
