Grand Canyon..ln Flagstaff there is a nice Fairfield Inn..big rooms continental breakfast and very affordable..Go to Hoover Dam on Az / Nv state line it's just a 45 min drive to Las Vegas..plenty of reasonably priced hotels Circus Circus has circus acts family friendly now most hotels are.. If you belong to AAA they give travel guides for States or regions list Hotels and room rates and overall ratings of amenities...the guide lists places of interest..things to see and restaurants show fare/steakhouse/seafood/Mexican and dress codes if any as well as price ranges..
In Arizona find an authentic Mexican restaurant..not a chain and taste REAL Mexican food...If it is near meal time and you happen to be in Henderson NV SuperMex is excellent reasonable prices and great food..It's a 40 minute drive from home but going there for lunch...

I noticed your name says proud mommy, so if you have kids, the phoenix zoo is awesome, it's a whole day thing. For the next two months, in Williams they have a kids day to ride on Thomas the Train, it's pretty fun, but only like a 20 minute ride. Other than that, I guess the Grand Canyon, but I wouldn't go with that virus going around down there. I've heard it's worse than pnumonia. If you go to Williams though, they also have a petting zoo.

Der, Tucson! But don't set foot down here until about October. It's 104 today. BLECH! Actually if you do want to come to AZ this time of year, Flagstaff is a great little town to visit and it doesn't get really hot like Southern Arizona.

lots of cool places to check out but ill leave out the obvious grand canyon, the phoenix/scottsdale/tempe/mesa area has lots to do. if u go in spring a cubs training game is fun. theres a small cozy town on the side of a mountain called jerome if youre driving through the sedona area. the petrified forest/painted desert is nice. maybe the hoover dam/lake mead area if u decide to stop in vegas. i wanted to get to tombstone but never did so if u go there let me know how it is.
i lived near asu for almost a whole year so obviously i know everything about it.
