Nope. How silly is that?
Plus, an induction doesn't necessarily ensure the date of your baby's birth. I was induced during my first pregnancy (for preeclampsia). I was induced at 5:30am on a MONDAY, and Phoebe was born by emergency C-section at 2:30pm on WEDNESDAY!

I didn't have a good experience with induction. I was induced because my blood pressure was high. However, my induction resulted in a C section because the labor wasn't progressing as fast as the hoped. I found out later that this happens with a lot of inductions.
However, I do know several women who gave birth vaginally without problem. I guess it just depends on the woman. That was just my experience and I wouldn't ask for an induction unless it was necessary for some medical reason.

I don't know..I am not typically superstitious and not very religious..but better safe than sorry.
If I was in labor, and couldn't control it..then c'est la vie. But, if I had control over the induction date of my baby..then maybe I'd make it a day earlier or later just to be safe.

Absolutely Not - why would you put your baby at risk of something happening because of a date???? I understand that people tend to be very superstitious and I never expected to be at the point to be your own child at risk... If you believe that there is a God, hold on to him and everything will be OK.... Simply have faith....
