I'm 16 and I had sex with my boyfriend after knowing him for about two weeks. It was both of our first times. And when we met the first time it was for a date because we were kind of set up. So it seems like maybe it was just expected of us to like each other.. and start holding hands and whatever.. it didn't just happen naturally. We do not really have a connection.. like we arent all comfortable around eachother and able to talk to eachother...it seems more physical. But I love being with him and stuff. I am so confused about how I feel. Like he is almost a stranger to me. I just wanted to know some people's opinions on our relationship and where it may be headed.

If there is only a physical attraction between the two of you, I can't see this lasting. I wouldn't even call it a relationship since you two are like strangers (according to what you said). You rushed into having sex and of course it ruined your relationship, Learn from your mistakes and move on...

I think it's kind of sad that you didn't have a really great experience for your first time. I don't think sex can ruin a relationship, but I do think that the confusion that young folks like you have around sex, coupled with young, undeveloped communication skills, can ruin relationships.

If you don't feel a connection with him, stop seeing him. If you like having sex and just want sex, then fine, have sex with whoever you want, but I suspect you'll have a lot more emotion tied up in it after all. If you know that's the case, then why not hold off on the sex until you have the kind of emotional connection you want?

Guys are going to pressure you for sex, that's what we do. It's up to you to choose how to respond.

Maybe you slept together too soon. You should have got to know him first. Seeing it was the first time for both of you things may be a little weird between you for a while. It is probably best to just talk to him and see what his opinion is. He may feel the same way. Since you have shared something so special together you owe it to each other to at least take and see if there is a future for you.

no offense, but sex already ruined that relationship. you cannot jump right into the bed with a guy irregardless whether it was the first time for both of you. sex is supposed to be sacred with love not lust. your best bet is to move on because the relationship will go no further than sex. trust me on this because i am a guy. he knows now that he can get what he wants when he wants it and that is all he cares about.

First off I hope you used a condom,, secondly the way you are feeling is because you know now ,you rushed into things. It is better to know someone for a while longer before you do that again, I believe you have already figured that out,,,,,

Sounds to me as if you should have waited to be sexual with him, if their is no real connection. I guess you should just move on and find another guy who you develope one with. You are young and have plenty of time to find the right person for you.

Sometimes because as we all know it can. If you do it and your man isn't ready. Then that will pretty much ruin it. Make sure he is ok and if he is mad say sorry or send a card with garfield crying.
