Witchcraft has been around since the time of Moses, but if you read Deuteronomy 18:10, you will see how God feels about them.
It reads: " There shall not be found among you anyone that makes his son or daughter to pass through the fire(human sacrifice) or that uses divination,or an observer of times(fortune teller),or an enchanter,or a witch,or a charmer or a consulter of familiar spirits.or a wizard---for all that do these things are an abomination (detestable)to the Lord.

If you read the old Bible, before King James got ahold of it, nothing is said about witches. The word they use in the "Do not suffer a witch to live" , originally meant a poisoner, which was often a woman. Witch was not originaly in there.
Witches were originally the healers of their communities and caretakers of the dead. They are the ones that found that Foxglove would help the heart and that is where Digitalis comes from. There are many more examples. Just because they would not change their beliefs to Christianity, they were persecuted and killed. There were other political reasons, but they are not evil.
This is one of the reasons so many have a problem with Christianity; the intolerance and damning of anyone that doesn't hold to the same beliefs. I'm so tired.

No, it's not satanism. Most girls who are "Witches" are Wiccian. A pagan religion that worships a God and a Goddess. they celebrate nature and practice rituals to celebrate the changing seasons and ask for guidance.
Their religion is similar to the Native American religion and rituals.
**Ellen B - Message me. I want to know where in the bible it is against non-white people. that sounds interesting to me, seeing how NONE of the men in the Bible are White. they are Hebrew, Jewish, or some other Middle Eastern Nationality...non of which are Caucasian. **
Of course the Bible says it is evil. anything other then the Christian belief is evil.
As for the ones who are just "witches" to be cool. Tell them that 'The Craft' is a movie and they need to come back to reality.
**Lover of truth - the bible also says it is an abomination to masterbate, or eat pork (yes, that means bacon, ham, sausage ect.), but I am sure you have done that once or so in your life. - Leviticus 11 & 18**

I see. You seem to be confusing Halloween witches with Wicca. The two are very different things. They have some similar things in common, but that is it. The major is magick. Magick can be practiced for good or ill. It is up to each person. Besides, a Wiccan knows the threefold rule: for everything you do, it will come back to you threefold, good or bad. I sincerely hope you will take the time to read up on Wicca and gain a better understanding of the religion.
Peace!
P.S. - Wicca was around longer than the concept of Satan.

It's funny that you think that by telling us we are satanists that makes it true.
Witches don't believe in Satan, Christians do. Christians are more Satanic than us.
Furthermore, we don't believe in Hell either, so we won't end up there and the bible is purely a story book.
You clearly have no understanding of the Pagan or Wiccan religions, so next time, before making a dick of yourself by making stupid statements like that, do some research and say something true.

witches in the real sense tend to stem from Pagan cultures and have nothing to do with Satan .
Satan is a Christian concept and applies only to Christians who believe in this .
to be a Satanist you have to be a Christian first .because you have to believe in Jehova and Jesus, otherwise how can you hate them.
they even read or write passages from the bible backwards ,
witches do nothing like that ,they usually are herbal or traditional healers
so to call witches Satanic is eroneous and uninformed
and you could go to hell for lying and slander

I feel fairies and werewolves and might be vampires exist . Because if animals can evolve then a few individuals would have advanced to be capable to outlive by way of the difference .however a few persons would say how come we have not observed any bones or proof like useless persons however they would not be dull sufficient to depart strains in the back of considering that if thy bought seize they might be stored in a lab being established for the relaxation of there lives ,and might be they have got observed bones however have no longer mentioned some thing or they have got observed bones however assumed they're wolves bones ? But for all I kno they would no longer be truly however that is what I feel :) and it is the identical with fairies quite they are small so no longer noticible .

They aren't satanists, but nothing is wrong with satanists. Listen to the "Devil's Trill", a song written by the devil. Make sure not to listen to the Vanessa Mae version though because she modernized it so its not the same.
BTW The bible is just a book, if your gonna let a book run your life then pick up one of those "365 days" books that tells you what to do everyday for a year. Personally I think Buddha is a much more realistic prophet. Go Buddha :-)

Er, you are a very clueless person, aren't you? First of all, wicca is not satanism, and secondly, neither of those belief systems are doing you any harm, so just mind your own damn business and go harass somebody on another planet, preferably one on which you'll be crushed by the super-dense atmosphere.

There are many religions where people, both men and women, consider themselves to be witches...they are Pagan. One Pagan religion, Called Wicca, is often composed of Wiccan Priests and Priestess who refer to themselves as Witches...we don't believe in the Bible...though many of us are more well read in it than many Christians. For example, are you aware of how the bible contradicts itself...how violent it is against women and nonwhite people...many many atrocities are promoted in the Bible...quite a dangerous book there. Pagan religions, Neopagans, however, are often Nature loving, peaceful, harmonious...balanced life styles...We don't believe in the devil...that devil well, he was created by you Christians...ergo the devil is a christian......:)
