Burnt offerings in the Old Testament were a picture of the real sacrifice to come: Jesus Christ. John the Baptist referred to Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. In the OT, lambs were among the animals that were sacrificed as a sin offering. Of course the bible also states that no amount of blood of bulls, goats, (lambs), etc. will remove sin. Only the blood of Jesus (the perfect Son of God) is a worthy substitute and only when one asks for forgiveness from God in faith.

According to the bible in the old testament they did to be forgiven of sin. Then god sent his only son to be a final sacrifice for all our sins, if we are confessed sinners and have asked Christ into our heart, we will be a born again christian living our life for god. so no there is no more sacrifices, unless your following a man made , made up mumbo jumbo.

No, they aren't good enough anymore, you'll need to sacrifice your life. Noooo, not suicide, I mean that God wants your whole life turned over to Him, offered as a "sacrifice", and when you do, He'll bless you till your cup overflows.

no more sacrifice...unless you want to revert back to paganism and have child sacrifices and the like...oh wait we have that now, its called abortion many children are being sacrificed in the name of "Choice" people not wanting to have kids because it would be a bother, so they sacrifice their baby so they can have a better life, like pagans used to sacrifice their babies so the "gods" would show favor to them for a better life...has humanity really moved on, or are we just being painted a different color
