Yes, it's called "Mystic Tan" and I've used it several times and the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders use it. You have to do it the day before you need that just back from the beach look, and make sure to dry off at the ankles and knees well. Fifteen mts. after you leave, re-wash your hands. Then don't shower or bath for at least six hours. You'll love the results. Oh, wear old clothes when you go because some of the dye will wear off on your clothes a little.

The best "fake" I ever did at home was with Neutrogena spray dark tan. I exfolliated very well and shaved first; bathed and used it overnight. I supplement every day with one of those glowing/firming cleams that colors your skin in about 4-5 days. Wash your hands very well afterward (I always scrub mine and between my fingers). Keeps it going and not dry looking (something like Jergens Glow). I don't know about the spray booths, I've heard mixed results.

I wouldn't recommend getting sprayed like a car wash by toxic chemicals from head to foot and breathing all that in.
The best product I have ever seen is by Coppertone and is very reasonably priced. It does not streak .It comes in a pump and has moisturizing lotion in it . It is called :"Endless Summer " Sunless Tanning , Gradual Tan. .

use a selftanning lotion. spray tans (the inexpensive ones like hollywood tans) can make you look orange.
before using the lotion, exfoliate your skin with a simple mix of table sugar and your hand. it's really nice.
I like jergens, but have heard good things about nuetrogena build a tan.
if you want to spend big money on a "real" fake tan, then go for it, but be wary that you might turn orange.

i have done spray on tanning before I do not suggest getting it the day before you will be out say in a swimsuit. you have to be very careful to put the lotion they give you on drier skin like your knees elbows feet and underarms. I have the best luck when I go with a friend and we can make sure each others backs are even

the spray on tan works very well. and yess, its like a car wash. you get into a both (naked or in a swimsuit) and it sprays you & then when it turns off, you turn around & it does your backside. before you go in, you tell the people at the salon or where ever how dark you want it. see, simple!

Do not use the spray tan if you do not already have a base tan. My girlfriend's daughter did so before her prom and because she was rather pale, it turned out with an orange tint. Also, if you are using a self tanner, like the mystic tan...EXFOLIATE! They have special body exfoliators to use before you apply self tanners.
GOOD LUCK!

hahah i used one like this last year and it would sometimes come out darker then lighter depending on angle of the bottle and mostly lead to streaks. A cream or lotion style is better. Make sure you wear rubber gloves to prevent orange hands. But the spray clumped out heavy on my feet and made me look like a f*cking hobbit from the Shire for a week lol.
Fake bake I find is the best lotion style.

exfoliate your skin before using anything... forgot to add that... basically you don't paint a fence with peeling paint so get dead skin off first.
