No, they do not benefit America. It's over crowded and no longer safe in the streets. The unemployment rate is still rather high, and I'm sure if the Companies that hire illegals would be less selfish and greedy, then our people would have an opportunity to bring food to the table and as a result decrease the rate of homelessness. I believe that not all homeless people deserve to be homeless or it was not their decision to be. Our schools are overcrowded as well, more (illegal) students attending and not enough teachers or budget to provide the resources (American) students need to learn. These are just some examples...
They do somewhat, but by weighing all the factors, the results would be more of a drain instead...
I"m all for hard working individuals, but I want to see those hard working individuals doing things legally, and not illegally. It's just not right.

No, the USA doesn't benefit from ILLEGAL immigrants. They work jobs for below minimum wage and are supplemented by abusing our welfare system which US citizens pay for through our taxes. By abusing, I mean they should not even qualify, they are NOT citizens. Hospitals (100's) have closed their doors due to the glut of illegal immigrants seeking medical care in Emergency Rooms. They get subsidized housing which US citizens pay for through our taxes and many of us cannot qualify because we make a little too much. They get food stamps, education and prenatal care (at our expense). They do not contribute as much as they cost us.
I'm speaking of ILLEGAL immigrants. Immigrants who come here are not the problem and should not take offense at the ire we have for the illegal immigrants actions. Our government allowed them to come here by not enforcing laws already in place, I blame them. However, I also blame the illegal immigrants for abusing the laws they knew were there. Now, they want to DEMAND rights!?!! They think they deserve 'amnesty'. For what? Breaking our laws!?! Citizens of the U.S. don't get amnesty for breaking laws, why should they?! They need to go home. This is not their country.

I take personal offense to those who say we immigrants don't contribute to the US. I came from Mexico when I was 10 years old, worked since the time I was 13, paid my own way through college, graduated, and now I TEACH your children, volunteer, etc. The entire time, my family worked we paid taxes, we worked to straighten out our papers, and we were NEVER on any kind of federal aid or, any kind of aid. We are all successful. If Americans choose to have low paid jobs, or whatever, it's not MY fault that I came here with the determination and will that it took to become successful. I didn't take any opportunities from anyone. Opportunities are there, ready for the taking. Americans shouldn't complain. STEP UP! Educate yourselves, get those high paying jobs. If so many immigrants can do it then YOU as an American should be able to do it too!

It's not that the Mexicans are doing the so called jobs that the Americans wont do is the fact that so many companies that hire the illegals do it for a much lower rate of pay. Which LOWERS our standard of living!
They are NOT benefiting our country by abusing our hospital E.R's. Not to mention that they do NOT pay taxes! The money they make here is sent back to familes in Mexico, minus what they spend on beer and tacos while working here!
The money they spend on hiring a guide to illegaly process their papers and to help them SNEAK into our country could be put to better use by doing it LEGALLY!

NO I don't!! This is America NOT Amexico. They have their own country so STAY in it. If they are so bright, as I have seen some claim in here, then they should be able to fix their country. It is NOT our problem. There are health care facilities shutting down because of illegal free loading Mexicans. I have seen Mexicans in the grocery store with 2 buggies full of food, paid for of course with FOOD STAMPS. They use different id's to work and get food stamps. And nobody seems to get why WE don't want them here. I am sure that most Americans would like to work, NOT pay taxes, get FREE health care and receive FOOD STAMPS. Oh and be rewarded for being ILLEGAL!!!!!!!

The country has a net benefit from highly skilled immigrants and a net loss from low skilled immigrants, per studies. When you add to that the fact that those paying the expenses are not the same as those getting the benefits, to me it is much more of a loss than a benefit. However, I am sure agribusiness feels differently (and should pay impact fees to cover schooling and health care.)

Not when they take our tax dollars and send the money back to their own countries, not when we pay for them to have 8 babies and raise them to hate our country, not when they push their lawn mowers and whistle and yell at 12 year old girls. They are a drain on our resources and a bad example of the people who come here legally and work hard to earn a living.

No-not really
it has no benefits-It hurts us money (it has been drain on system)-health(it caused rising prices-many cannot afford medicine)Food has not gone down but up-despite low labor. Schools are in big trouble-overcrowded and 1/4 is illegal. unemployment is up despite figures because not all facters are counted. Protection -laws are not followed. And any jail will tell you the rise of crime and illegals.
Its not like all mean to cause problems-it happens. We need order and a secure border we also need to monitor who comes in and when they are in. For everyones benefit. Its not based on want but need-we need affordable health and our system is hurting more will only hurt not help..

Ask the person that died in the ambulance because the local hospital in Los Angeles county closed due to services to illegal immigrants. They abuse our social services and close them down. Ask that question to the people that have died because of this problem. Oh wait, they are dead. But their story can be your answer.
