Because their god is evil

2006-06-05 15:51:51 · answer #1 · answered by Alex LaCroix 2 · 0 1

I often wonder that, myself. Not only do people who preach the gospel, frequently do things that go against the word of God -- I am completely stunned how much war is waged, in the name of God. I mean, several of the Ten Commandments, which are very fundamental, teach us to love one another, not commit atrocities. It is, indeed, very sad. Unfortunately, people will frequently put their own agendas ahead the true teachings of the gospel, and then justify their actions as being for God. You can tell people who hurt you, how their actions make you feel, and how it does not make any sense to you, when you look at it through the eyes of Christianity. They may or may not hear you, may or may not be affected by what you say. Once you have expressed how you feel, you can only hope that God will guide them. I sound all preachy saying this, and I'm really not the preachy type. I just believe you have to express yourself, then step back and hope for the best. Some people change, and some people don't -- terrible things have been done in the name of God for a very very long time. Just know that, in the end, God is the only one who can, and WILL judge those who have done wrong.

Not all Christians do that. Why do Jews? Why do Muslims? Why do Wiccans?

BECAUSE WE'RE HUMAN.

Humans f*ck up. That's what we do. Being Christian is f*cking up, asking forgiveness from God and the person we hurt, and then accepting forgiveness.

The hypocrites are the ones who claim to be perfect because they're Christian. The idiots are the ones who believe them and then get upset when the hypocrites act as if they're human.

People are gonna mess up, no matter what religion to which they cling.

The people who claim to be Christians and make this are hypocrites, and they are not what they say because many people in Churches are Rat of Church, they just go for visit another people and for the congregation think they are saints, that because the Lord says than by their fruts you'll know then.

First the behavior is not limited to Christians. That would be like saying why do musilms blow people up. Having said that. It's written in the bible we will never be like Christ, but it's in our faith to be Christ like and to have a realtionship with Jesus and his father to enter into the Kingdom. What you've experienced was something that goes back to Adam and Eve when satan deceived them. At that point we were all born into sin (i.e we are not perfect). That's why Jesus was sent to save us. Don't worry God is watching them. Just be sure you do what is right and Christ like.

it is not only christians profess that they are loving and kind. all religious denominations would say that they are loving and kind even the atheists.

we do hateful things sometimes because we are humans. we have personal knowledge on what is wrong or what is right, so, we judge people according to our own belief.

well... this is what I have to say about that. Anyone who believes in Christ is a "christian". True believers will walk the straight and narrow and do what is right, faithful, and true. If they don't act like Christ would have acted then they are only fooling themselves!!!!

Because they are lying about being loving and kind.

Because they are not perfect, just forgiven.

Because they are human with all the frailties of spirit that go with it.

Because they are ignorant of what grace is.

I'm a Christian and I'm nothing like that! If they do things like that then they aren't true Christians.
