the best possible thing you could do is leave, because if he's choking you now, and got away with it what makes you think that he wont do it again, and next time it will be worse...never tolerate abuse no matter what. I was abused by my ex husband and I left. Dont be one of those women who get beat to death because they are to scared or in to much denial to leave... Abuse is abuse, theres no excuse for it.

I would go into counceling, (and your partner too), and FIND OUT WHY, you pick all the wrong type to date and have a relationship with!!
You need counceling to get over your lack of self esteem!! OR, when you get out of 'this' relationship, you will look for the same type of guy again!!
Oh, by the way, if its started, the abuse will only get WORSE... GET OUT NOW!!!

i was in a relationship like that for 2 years there is something wrong u have to get out it gets worse trust me when i did live he kidnapped me and held for 6 days against my will it is really hard to leave but the longer u wait the harder its goin to be to leave him and there is nothin wrong with u it is normal especially if u were raised in that kind of interment

Unless the choking was involved in sex, I'd say run for your life. You wouldn't want to end up lying in a ditch next time, now would you?

Was this done on purpose? Was it done with your knowledge, as in S and M? If it wasn't and they were intentionally choking you without your permission get away from them as fast as you can
