I am trying to get rid of and keep ants out of the house, I wanted to put it all around the outside of my home, but I don't want to hurt my dog or the neighbor's.

Don't let your dog eat anything that says "acid" on it. In fact, don't let your dog eat anything that doesn't say "dog food" on it.

Boric acid is a non-toxic way to get rid of pests, including fleas, in its dry form. It is poisonus if ingested, so I wouldn't use it anywhere your dog might lick it up.

If you are trying to get rid of pests in your home, try eucalyptus, lemon grass, and cedar. Eucalyptus oil and cedar oil can be applied directly to you and your pet.
