Usually this time there are clouds of them. The last summer I spent up here in nortren Illinois it was alsmost firefliyless also. That was summer before last. I look forward to them and miss them. Why are they gone ?

you know, i asked a friend this same guestion a few days ago! i am in kentucky, the hills are almost always covered by now, i have no idea where or why they are gone? but this is a good question! i love them too.

it`s been too cool a night ,give it a few more weeks. in Ohio we have not seen any yet! we have seen two June bugs and we always have a lot by now ,it has to be 70-75 at night for us to have them..

Just kiddin'...that stuff is all a big hoax but...anyhow, it's probibly going to be later this year and a later summer...

Whether they can flash or not and their rate of flashing depend on the outdoor temperature.

i have no idea, we dont get them where i live now (on an island in washington) and they dont have them where i grew up (arizona). ive never even seen one in real life!!!!
