I am 13, and not to brag or anything, I have really good reading skills for my age. Well, It is the first day of summer vacation, and I am bored to death. Anyone have any suggestions for some good summer reads?

'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho is short and sweet.

The classics are always good. If you have not read 'To Kill a Mockingbird' by Harper Lee, you probably would like it. 'Kidnapped' by Robert Louis Stevenson and 'Tom Sawyer' by Mark Twain are old standbys. 'The Godfather' might be a bit mature for you, but it is an excellent book.

You can find many books of the horror genre by writers such as Stephen King, Anne Rice and Dean Koontz. John Grisham and Robert Ludlum have some good action and spy thrillers, as does John leCarré.

'Angels and Demons' by Dan Brown, the prequel to The da Vinci Code', is a page turner.

Do you like Stephen King? I read "The Stand." It's one of the best books I've ever read. It's pretty long, about 1100 pages, but if you really like to read like I do it won't be that hard to get through it.
