Pay attention to where you're walking, and try to identify the time she starts coughing. What kinds of weeds, etc. are in that spot? Or do you go on different routes? Maybe if it's a weed, and isn't in a neighbor's yard, you can pull it, put it in a bag (if you don't know what it is), and bring it to the vet to show him/her.
It could be an allergy, and I hope it's something simple. Good luck with your little buddy. : )

Could be a lot of things. Have you taken her to the vet? She could have asthma, it could be allergies, it could be kennel cough. I hate to say it, but it could be lung cancer. She should see the vet. My neighbor just lost his beautiful 4 year old Bernese Mountain Dog to lung cancer. He started coughing about 4 weeks ago, and they went to the vet after a week of coughing, and he was gone 2 weeks after that.

well ask you vet aniamls have allergies just like us humans. a vet would be able to tell the difference between allergies or some thing serious. when you take her for a check ask about it. it's cheaper if you mention it during a checkup.

allergies are possible....possible kennel cough if she has been exposed to other animals.....but I wouldn't think that it would stop like that...
Is it possible she is eating something when you are out walking? ( just a thought)
If it doesn't get better after awhile I would get her checked.
