Yes, all dogs shed to some degree. Short haired ones shed less as they have no undercoat.

Despite what you hear about non-shedding breeds.....ALL dogs shed. Some breeds (poodles, bichons, maltese...etc.) are recognised as non-shedders. The truth is....they shed, but the point folicles on the hair (seen under a microscope) catches the shedded hair before it falls from the dog....then it ends up staying there.....which is what causes matting on an unbrushed long coated breed. Anyway....even though bostons do have a thin short single coat....bostons do shed. Bostons, by the way, don't have point folicles on their hair....so the hair will drop right off of the dog. Unless you have a really thick coated boston (which is rare....like pug type hair), you will hardly notice the shedding at all. Take a slicker brush and run it across your bostons back. If you find hair in the brush...it's from shedding. Look at your dogs bed. If you find his hair there....your dog sheds. All dogs shed.....some much worse than others.

I own a boston terrier and she does shed but very little. If you feed your dog premium food and brush him often, this will help with the shedding.

yes they do..
you can reduce shedding by feeding premium quality food and by brushing regularly.. not just to remove hair but to improve the skins condition
