i have the same problem
i bought Dove's new hair repair intense treatment conditioner and a box of 3 hot oils... i've been using the cond. every day and the oil once a week and my hair has become a lot softer
the best thing to do is the cut off the damaged (i know its sad) and definately put the iron on a lower setting
you can also go down the beauty asile of a store and just read the bottles of conditioner and treatment and figure what would work best for you. typically, the more you spend, the better result.
trial and error
but easiest way. go to wherever you get your hair cut and ask them

sounds like you are using it too much, hair straighteners can damage your hair alot if usen all the time!! try not to use it so much.
i recommend that you stop using your hair straightener whils doing this or it will not work:
invest in a deep-conditioning treatment, use it once a week for 2 weeks, once a fortnight twice, after that continue to use it once a fortnight.
after you have done the treatment for the second fortnight you can start using the hair straightners again, this time though use a heat-protection spray and do not use it all the time, if you continue to do the same, your hair will eventually dry out totally, your hair will break, it will look frizzled all the time and eventually everytime you use the straightners it will look like someone set fire to your hair.

The Matrix 4 step sleek look products are great! If you can't afford to buy the whole line, get the Iron smoother - you simply spray it on your hair before you flat iron it, and it protects your hair from the direct heat of the flat iron (make sure and use a ceramic flat iron as well CHI is the best one out there) - it not only protects your hair but it gives it that natural salon shine without having to go to the salon.
If the split ends are really bad go to the hairdresser and get them cut off before it gets worse. But make sure and protect your hair from the heat of the flat iron and try not to do it to often!
Good luck!

Use a base spray specifically for your hair to prep it before using the straightening iron. You can find some at the regular stores but I bought mine at the salon. --I like Chi products a lot--Plus the serum for the hair after it is straightened makes it look nice and healthy. (use a small amount of serum or it will look greasy) :)

Oh!! you could try those from Karmin, I guess it is referred to as Karmin g3 hair straightener, it has the main suitable ceramic warmth settings and might make your hair super cutting-edge and shine. do merely no longer bypass the warmth protectant in the previous straightening your hair. you could try those from professional naturals, use it after a bath and leave it to dry in the previous you straighten, in case you such as you could merely use it even once you do no longer straighten because of the fact it relatively is a deep conditioner and definitely stable hair nutrition. I swear! ;) ;) ;)

You need to cut off the dry stuff, and then put your straightener on the lower setting, even though it takes longer to straighten. I have the same problem. I am a straightener addict.

first of all DON'T just use ANY hair straightening iron!
THE CHi is the only thing worth using!...i have SUPER thick CURLY hair and the CHi is AMAZiNG!!! [it has ceramic plates]
only $80 on eBay...best investment i ever made!...be sure to get the chi oil too that keeps your hair from looking dry and straw-like.

put a before straightening and after straightening product.
Loreal has a great line of hairstuff, and I use BIOSILK for after straightening.
If price is not the issue, go ask your hairdresser. Salon products work miracles.

Get a Chi. It's the best flat iron on the market. You can get it at Trade Secret if you have that store in your mall, otherwise they sell them online. Then, before you use it, get the dead ends trimmed off your hair. Also, make sure to spray a heat protector spray on everytime you iron your hair. I get mine at Sally's, but you can get them in drug stores too.
