I would also like to hear a man's opinion on this...Last week, I had a nice dinner w/ my girls and had a huge crush on our waiter. He was flirting w/ me as well and he told us to come back, gave his card, told us he would've loved to go out w/ us that night and even hinting where his car was outside, make/model/plates and all! So my friend went ahead and left my name/number on his windshield and 1 week passed and he did not call. So I decided to call him at work and said he meant to call me he's just been too busy. I was a bit nervous and I asked if he had a GF, he said no I'm totally single...I told him he doesn't have to pretend and he said tell you what, can you give me your # again...when I get off work maybe we can do something. He hasn't called. Do you guys think he was just trying to be nice to me? Or what? I'm really clueless when it comes to things like this. Do you guys ever say that to girls you're not really interested in just be be nice to them?

I'm a girl. but still please listen, don't waist your time thinking about this jerk he obviously wanted a tip and a crowd to show off to if he's a waiter he's not such a big shot as he wanted you to think he didn't even deserve your tip, I hate the way people play games, first off he was doing too much and he just met you, he may or may not be a total jerk, and don't sweat it because he may like you he may have just lied about what he has and is embarrassed but I'm sure your a nice person move on.

It sounds to me as though he is just after sex. I am guessing but Id say that you are probobly a nice girl and he knows he would have to take you out on a few dates which is prob not his style. He prob just wants results straight away. Good on you for being proactive though. Good luck.

ok, i'm a waitress. all he wanted from you was the tip. sometimes they will do whatever to get it. give out names, numbers, whatever. don't get all hung up over the guy.
