Very old and poor places in cities where people who barely live and survive. Most of them are there due to poor education, alcohol and/or drug addictions.

I see you have gotten a lot of ignorant answers. people are so quick to judge or make theirselves look dumb by pretending to know about something they have no clue about. The Ghetto is not restricted to any one race. The ghetto is not something you can't escape because of education, poverty, or any of the reasons you see above. The ghetto can exist anywhere in any environment because it is a state of mind. "You can take the person out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the person". There have been scholars and very intelligent people that have and remain to live in the ghetto. Some of the people on here watch too much tv. Check your sources before you make yourself look like a a** online.

Yea, the ghetto doesnt have a certain race...it's a poor community basically... Along with poor comes many problems and hardly any good comes out...The only good that can come out is a kid trying to aim for a better life....The ghetto is the land of no rules basically..anything goes
