Yeah, its worth it in the end. There is no better feeling knowing that you have sacrificed a little sleep and fun time to study, and then when your grades are really good, and the teacher gives you a good grade on something that you have done, there is nothing in the world like that feeling. I can sympathize with you about waking up early just so to study, and get passing grades. I am now glad that I did because without sacrificing that little bit of down time, I might not be where I am today. It's ok to prepare for a final early, or a lot, as long as you don't overdue it.

No, you need a good night sleep to think straight, beside, if you wake up 4:30 and leave at 6:30, what you could remember the most in the exam is the 2 hour study only...

Cut off the time u need 4 studying from these 2 hrs and then the answer is yes. It is my definite experience tht studying on the day of the exam itself is a sure shot way of getting urself all tensed up and u tend to lose a grip on urself. So, do everything but study on the morn of a final... the ideal way is to relax, get a good night's sleep and think abt other pleasant things.... and yes, coupled with the fact tht u have studied well all the year round, u'll get good grades, u just wait and see!

I have found out in the past that getting a good nights sleep is better than studying the extra two hours. Especially since the two hours will most likely end up being closer to an hour of effective study time. I have found out that if you were a good listener in class and studied for the regular exams, the final exam should be a refresher of what the course is about.

honestly, the best way to do it is to study as much before the day of the test, then on the night prior, you spend about 2 hours studying for what ever subject right before you go to sleep. Then when you wake up at 4:30 the next morning you go over key stuff like definitions, important dates, etc..

I thought about this one a lot when I was in college, I found that being more rested helped me more than the two hours of groggy craming you are going to do. Although I think a good 30-45 minutes of review of what you studied last night would be a good idea.

There are some studies made that reviewing early in the morning is better than studying late at night. However, I suggest you to have initial study and review it again during early morning. Make it sure that you will not in a hurry to review those files of books in one time, it will not help you.

i have found out that your body can function fine until the task is done. meaning if you only get 3 hours of good sleep when you wake up get up feed your mind and body with a nutritious b-fast and it will run and think great until you decide to stop for the day.
