Depends on your family. Alot of people will go by their middle name instead of first.. kinda up to you and what you want to be called.

OK, My niece's name is Mackenzie but they have always called her Grace which is her middle name. My grandmother did the same thing, used her middle name. No, I don't think it's weird at all. It's kinda like when people think giving a child two middle names is weird. I gave my daughter two and my brother has two. It's all about what you prefer. It's original, sorta cool. Just don't listen to what other people think. Do whats best for you and stick with it.
Emily and Katheryn are both very pretty names so that makes it hard to pick. I guess if I had to, I would pick Katheryn. But, again, they are both great names!

Well you can call your kid by any name you want. I would think it was odd in the sense if your gonna call him by his middle name, why didn't you make that the 1st name in the first place!?!?!?!

first names tend to be more formal so a lot of kids and adults choose to use the less formal middle name in the absence of a good nickname

It really just depends. I know a lot more guys who go by there middle names than I do girls that go by it. I would say that it's fairly common though.

Fairly common I think. Four guys I work with go by their middle name. I think it is all personal preference.

I wanted to name my son Angelo, but the father didn't like it so I named him Logan Angelo. A lot of people in my family call him Angelo(his middle name) I considered changing it, but he already says his name so I don't want to screw him up.

My grandmother used to call me by my middle name...Marie. Now she calls my 3 year old daughter by her middle name..Jaydie. Well, it is actually Jayd but she calls her Jaydie. I don't think that it is uncommon for people to do this.

My maternal grandmother and her brother were all known by their middle names, though I'm not sure why. I believe that it was more common for their generation than it is for mine.
