I think it's not love that hurts its the ABSENCE of love that does...
You know when you lose someone you love you GET hurt etc...
When they are their you ARE happy!

I'm in love for the first time it was my first boyfriend at 21 now I'm 23 we have been dating a year and six months and I found out the guy that was my first in everything cheated on me, all I did was crying and cursed but I feel better because we talked and and at first he avoided me because I know he was guilty but when he gave me the chance to tell him what he did to me I felt better,now were working on building our friendship and seeing that we can do that makes me feel better because more important than what happened we are friends,first and always and it still hurts because things will never be the same and were not together and the pain is still new, it happened last week but I realized who I am and I know he regrets what he did, when I stopped regretting everything like dating him and falling in love I felt better because in truth I am still going to love and be loved, love keeps going it takes time to really understand that but it will happen in time. And people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

It sounds to me as if all the 9 answers at this time were from young people. From a senior citzen, I would like to say - many many times. If you date more than two different guys or girls, you will be hurt. However, never marry the person who hurt you. If they are hurting you now, just think what they will do AFTER you are married. Tale heart the right one will arrive.

Yeah. It turned out that i was really the one who hurt myself. I was drunk and kissed another guy and it really hurt my boyfriend. I think in the end it has ended up hurting me more living with the guilt of hurting someone o loved. I still don;t know why i did it.

Yes.
It hurts. But you can't grow without getting hurt. Walking down too smooth of a path makes you blind to problems, situations and people. The people who make you hurt most help you identify who are the ones dearest to you.

Yes, sooooooo very much that it has just about done me in. I am so lost and alone wanting to be a part of a relationship that I believe in but have no control over without participation in a tangible way.I am feeling betrayed & let hanging high & dry. :o(
