i called cox, because that is my providerer and they said to ask you.

You are experiencing a delay due to the server at the other end. It isn't you, the mail server like Yahoo is inundated and thus cannot respond to you fast enough. Try going into internet options and set your timeout delay for a longer period of time and be more patient.

clean out your computer, run disksweeper, clean history, delete cookies and run defrag.
