What religions have a true connection to God? What religions do not? Is there any possibility at all of salvation as a Bhuddist or a Lutheran, or must one be Catholic? I want to know what churches are worthwhile, and which are a waste of time and salvation.

Well if you understand that there is a God, then you have to understand that God cannot allow anyone with sin into heaven. God is perfect and because of his son, Jesus, we can life a life with God now and forever.

Some other religions may help you feel connected to "something" but if you life that ascends beyond our earthly bodies then follow Jesus. He is worthwhile. If you don't choose to follow him then, when you do you will be seperated from God.

Most (Matt.7:13)Religions are fake and don't follow (Col.2:8; Phil.2:21)Jesus and his teachings. If you take a glimse of all of them; they're following the Catholic Mother Church(Rev.17:5). The Catholic Church has thought to "change God's Law"(Dan.7:25) and "cast all the truth to the ground"(Dan.8:12). All the world(Rev.13:3,12) has worshipped and followed the "beast"; the Catholic Church.

The Real Church however; will follow Jesus(Col.2:6) and the Apostles(Eph.2:20). It will keep all the ten commandments(1John 2:3) including the 7th day Sabbath Saturday(John 4:22-24; Rev.14:7). It will keep God's Feasts(John 7:2,14; Acts 2:1; 20:6,16; Rom.5:11; 1Thess.4:16). It will teach you prophecy(Rev.19:10) as tell you both sides of religion(Heb.5:14). It has so much more! The name is in Acts 20:28(Church of God); it's the Living Church of God. How I know this because God(2Tim.1:9) called me into this church!

For more information; see these.

My opinion is that as long as the "religion" brings you inner peace and makes you a better person and a better citizen in this world what's the harm. I think with every "religion" you have to use some common sense because all " religions" are directed by human beings who sometimes make mistakes. Never follow any "religion" blindly. The priests, ministers, rabbi (sp) etc. of these "religions are just leaders they are not God. I believe there is only one God for everybody but to achieve salvation there are many roads. Kinda like we're all invited to the party, but we don't have to wear the same dress. Don't confuse faith with "religion".

All religions have both real and false beliefs. The choice is up to you to make the decision that makes the most sense to you. God gave us all free will, logic, and an ability to question. Use them all to find your path. Mine doesn't involve any religion. I think they all have good points, but none leave me 100% fulfilled. Use your own common sense and good judgment to figure it out, and never fall for the words of another person, or a document, simply because they tell you they are true.

The only religion with a true connection to God is Judaism for the Jews. ALL of the rest are man made.

This I believe; http://homelessheart.com/testimony.htm

I view religion as various paths that one might take to find Truth. Kind of like two streets leading to McDonald's. One might be longer or shorter than the other but at the end of the road still lies McDonald's. You can go down Christianity Ave or Islam Blvd or Judiasm Ln or Buddhism Pk, Taoist Rd or so on and so forth but at the end of each one is Truth or God or whatever you want to call it. The choice is yours, which road or path you choose to follow.

I think that many, though not all, people will tell you that whatever religion they follow is the "right" one and that their texts, teachings, and rituals are the "correct" way to have a relationship with God. That's simply a teaching of many belief systems. The bigger question is, how do you respond to that? Do you believe that they're all right? Do you believe that ony a few or only one is right? Do you believe that perhaps none are right? Try talking to people of different beliefs and going to their worship services (whatever those are called). See which one or ones feel right to you.

Honestly, there is no real "religion". It's about faith. No "religion" will offer you a "true connection" to God! You must have that on your own. God does offer you a way to have that relationship. No religions, cults, etc. Just read the Bible - it is His letter to YOU! He tells you in the Bible that when we are baptized into Christ, we are offered redemption from all our sins and the Holy Spirit (God's Spirit) which is our real connection with God. Read all about it in Acts chapter 2...

Any church that does not follow and teach the entire Bible is false. You can begin checking for yourself. Just compare their doctrines and practises against the commandments in Exodus 20. Use the Bible and your prayers to God as your ONLY guide. Get an exhaustive concordance of the Bible so you can check what ANYONE tells you against the Bible. If they tell you that the commandments have been done away with, for example, make them prove it with the Bible.

All religions have a real and true connection to God. Sadly, the God to whom they are connected is fake.
