How long after an abusive relationship should you get back in the game?

If you need more information, please see my last question. It explains it. People who responded there said that I need to leave my abusive relationship. What I want to know is how long should I wait before dating again.

Just let it happen if u meet a really great guy then dont let ur past relationship hold u back.. if u do that it means he is still controlling u and u do not want that. Just make sure u dont end up in the situation again for the sake of ur own life and for those ppl who love u. They dont want to see u hurt again!
p.s. i am so proud of u 4 leaving that relationship i know how hard t can be!

As long as you need to:
1. Recover from the abuse of your past;
2. Figure out what it was that caused you to stay in/get involved in the abusive relationship;
3. Decide whether or not you need counseling and getting it, and
4. To decide whether or not you can be in a new relationship without the excess baggage.

You are not ready to get back in the game unless you have sought counsel. You needot heal and build a helathy mind set so you are not victim to or attracted to the same mess you just left. You are better than that and deserve better. Heal before moving to anyone else.

well it depends how you feel....are you ready and willing to trust people again...maybe you should just be looking for new friends and see if anything blossoms out of that
