Chestnuts can be boiled until they are soft and are delicous warm. Just make sure you slit each one before you boil them.

Wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around them secure with a toothpick and cook them in a 400 degree oven until the bacon is crispy brown. then dip them in bbq sauce or honey mustard. You could also grill them but they flare up a lot.
