Some people send their children to daycare because kids learn more at daycare, and will be more prepared to enter kindergarten once the time comes. Also, if they can play with children their own age, and learn socialization skills at an early age.

I think that sending your child to daycare part-time is fine so for the above purposes, and if the things they learn at daycare are reinforced at home. Also, the parents must spend lots of time with their child also, if the parents are not spending any time with the child, than they should work out a schedule of less daycare and more parent/child time together.

Otherwise, full-time daycare should be reserved for those parents that work and need the money to work, and those parents should try extra hard to spend time with their children when they are at home.

Regardless of whether the parent works, a child should be able to have interaction with other children outside the home. No child should be "left behind" and miss out on opportunities that otherwise would not be available to them (i.e., field trips, educational opportunities, developing friendships, etc...) Why punish the child? My son learned how to use the computer; learned about anatomy and how to protect himself from others; learned how to recycle waste products and the learned about the danger of drugs through the DARE program in daycare at the age of 3 !!! VERY EFFECTIVE. He's 13 now & hates drugs and still recylces...

I think it depends on the reason why they send the kids to daycare. Maybe they send them so they will have other kids their own age to play with.

There are pros to enrolling children in a day care setting even when the mother can stay at home. It exposes children to other people and better prepares them for school. It helps strenghten their immune system. They learn how to communicate. Children often learn from and teach one another. Being around other children helps better socialize them. I can understand why a parent would choose to expose their children to such a setting. I can also understand why some parents would choose not to do so. Personal preference.

well depends on how old the child is. Kids need to get adapted to that type of environment. a non working mother wanting someone to raise there children/chil is uncalled for.

Depending on what's going on...like, why can't they work? if it's due to being so lazy, then I think they suck for sending the kids there..but..then it just might be better for the kids..who knows?

i think all parents need time to themselves. but i do think that daycare centres need to prioritise because some people do work to support their family's and need that extra time

depends on the reason, if it is just so they don't have to take care of them then don't think much of them
