when our ancestors were inslaved by the white man, do you believe that they were christan?

back then, if you were caught prayin to your god you would be killed.

after a hundred years our ancesters were here, they finally let them read the bible for the first time.

do you know what you can do to a book in a hundred years?

the white man gave us that religion to make us a better slave. they told our ancestors to do good for them and you'll go to heaven when you die. why do you have to die to be in heaven?they were livin in heaven when our ancestors were doin the labor.
they told them love your enemy, if harmed turn the other cheak, they told them that so when they was beatin them, our ancestors believe that they would god to heaven for usin non-violence.

if they don't treat you you right.. why would they teach you right?

im not racist,i just wanna know your thoughts..

Slavery ended along time ago, my brother. Forget the past and look towards the future with God. We are all one and equal with Him.

My Mom is black and she is atheist/agnostic and raised me and my brother that way.

But, as an adult, I chose to become Catholic despite that my father had converted to the Catholic Church and, at the time, I had bad feelings about my dad. But I thought about it and thought, "what do some bad feelings between me and my dad have to do with whether or not the Catholic Church is the one founded by God for the sake of my salvation?" So I got over it and became Catholic.

Now, I've been Catholic for over 12 years, and I love the faith more and more every day. I'm on fire for it.

By the way, did you know that there have already been 3 Black Popes in the history of the Catholic Church? And there are many notable Black Saints including Saint Ephraim.

Another thing to notice is how white supremacy groups like the KKK and neo-Nazi groups are traditionally Protestant, and they hate Catholics. Maybe it's due to the fact that the Catholic Church really is catholic which means "universal". The Catholic Church has always been the one that has no racial restrictions. When you are Catholic, there is no race but the Catholic race.

Take a look at whenever there is a Mass at the Vatican being shown on EWTN (the Catholic TV channel) you will see all people of all races, nationalities, colors, cultures, languages from every corner of the world there. This is what Jesus wanted, and because He is God, it has happened.

Christianity is an americanized religion. It has been changed alot over time. Anyone who believes that we were christians and read the bible before we were brought here as slaves is just plain stupid, and are more comfortable with believing what they were told, hence the slave mentality. Our ancestors worshipped much like other cultures, with rituals and sacrifices. I think that all religions were created by man not god. Regardless of what you read or where you worship...god knows who you really are. Religion was created to satisfy mans curiosity, and lack of faith within themselves. Thats just my opinion.

Becoming a Christian has nothing to do with ancestry. It has everything to do with a personal choice that God gave man (the human race) in order for us to regain our relationship with Him.

It may not make much sense to anyone who does not care to try to establish a relationship with God through Jesus Christ His Son, but the invitation still stands.

If you're really serious about knowing if this is right or wrong for you; I would suggest you personally ask God to reveal Himself to you. Be serious and I promise He will. God is not a man that He should lie. He loves you and wants you to know who He is and why His Son gave His life for you.

God Bless.
