not because uv rays can't enter the lens since it's invisible, but is there another way to know? a polaroid sunglass is easily distinguished by looking it over the water surface, one can see more clearly what's beneath those glares. wearing one uv protected sunglass is really necessary since it protect the eyes from harm.
