Genesis 2 verse 7 says that God breathed into Adam's nostrils and he became a living soul. In Ezekiel 18 verse 20 the Bible says that the soul that sins shall die. In Strong's concordance the word translated "soul" is the Hebrew word nephesh. In short, a "soul" is a body. The "doctrine" of the immortal soul is Biblically incorrect.

A soul is not someting inside you, but you are a living soul. Genesis 1:20 it says God said let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls, Genesis 2:7 says God proceeded to make man out of dust from the ground and blow into his nostril the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul. So everything living is a living soul or being.

If your still breathing and able to type a question, your consious.

As for your soul. That is the part of you that makes you uniquely you, your personality, your thoughts, etc. those things that we can't explain physically like the brain and heart functions, but without those intangibles we would all be just the same.

When we pass physically from this life, the part of you that makes you who you are, will leave the body and depending on your belief be reincarnated into a new body, go to heaven or hell, or turn into a ghost or spirit.

Soul is the life of each one who lives on after the body dies. Soul returns to the Creator, who gives life. Yes, conscious.

Catholics believe that the soul is the spiritual principle of human beings.

The soul is the subject of human consciousness and freedom; soul and body together form one unique human nature.

Each human soul is individual and immortal, immediately created by God.

The soul does not die with the body, from which it is separated by death, and with which it will be reunited in the final resurrection.

With love in Christ.

Your soul is your inner self. It is not exactly your conscience but it comes close. In the Bible it explains that when you go to heaven (or hell) your body is left on Earth but your soul lives on but in a new body in heaven. Everyone has a soul and remember, it NEVER will die out, even if you die.

In the bible soul applied to animals as well-so all living creatures-they all became living souls-another said that the soul dies when you do..-refering that you are a soul not seperate from body.

We also used it as a heartfelt feeling--My soul cries out.

Our soul is something every human has because God breathed the breath of life when He made Adam.
A soul is something inside of us that is eternal. Each person will either accept Christ's gift by repenting and accepting Him in our life and go to heaven when we die or spend eternity in hell which is the second death according to the bible,

The word sould has 7 different shades of meaning.
The main one is 'a person'.
That's why, years ago, when you drove toward a city, there would be a sign saying "7,000 souls"
meaning a town of 7,000 people.
If you are alive ....conscious, you ARE a soul!
The guy beside you is another one.

No one has a soul, souls don't exist. If you're not sure whether or not your conscious, you should probably see a doctor or other medical professional.
