Get some fresh chicken breasts, cut it up. Coat it with an egg/water mixture, roll in bread crumbs and bake 30 minutes at 325 degrees.
If you're real lazy, get some shake n bake type coating, and coat the fresh chicken with that mixture. Tastes just as good.
While the chicken is baking, make some fresh mashed potatoes.
If you have a microwave its super easy.
In a microwave safe bowl, add 2 potatoes, washed and cut. Peel if you wish. Poke a few holes in it with a fork.
Fill the bowl with water, put in microwave, cover with saran wrap or waxed paper, microwave on high for 8 minutes.
When the potatoes are done (fork should slide easily into it), carefully drain the water. If you do not have a potato masher, use the fork and break the potatoes down until you can mash it. Add a splash of milk, a gob of butter and a dash of salt. Mix well. For creamier potatoes, add more milk... but not too much milk or it'll turn mushy. Let the potatoes sit 5 minutes before serving.
Then for veggies, you can serve fresh veggies (ie: corn on the cob, carrots) or frozen or canned.. whichever you prefer.

I like making things like spaghetti or casseroles because they're simple and easy. Here's a recipe for my favorite casserole. I've gotten nothing but great comments about it.
Potato Casserole
Ingredients
2 lbs. Hash brown potatoes
½ C. Melted butter, divided
1 Can Cream of Chicken soup
1 tsp. Salt
1 pt. Sour Cream
¼ tsp. Pepper
8-10 oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
2 C. Cornflake Crumbs
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350º
Mix 1/4 C. Melted butter, sour cream, salt, pepper, cheese, and chicken soup. Add potatoes. Mix well.
Pour mixture into large baking dish.
Combine Corn flake crumbs with remaining butter. Sprinkle over top of the potato mixture.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Some people like to put 2 tablespoons of onions in the mixture but I leave it out because I don't think it goes well. Just thought I'd mention it in case you wanna try it. Also make sure the hash browns are frozen when you make the casserole, if they're thawed the casserole wont stick together when it's finished.

Yes, fresh green salad, with Italian dressing, with saltine crackers. Then Campbells Tomato soup, made with macaroni (great...). More saltine crackers.
Then grilled cheese sandwiches with Fritos (grill sandwiches with not only cheese, but also sliced ham or turkey...), sliced dill pickles. Sweet Ice Tea to drink. Vanilla ice cream and Oreo cookies for dessert.

Make a salad, heat some whole kernel corn, make mashed potatoes and rolls. It takes about 30 mins. , everyone I know likes it.

Try making your own pizza. The bread part sounds intimidating, but if you follow the recipe, it rocks! You can put whatever you want on it! Pasta is another good one for starters.
Good Luck and don't burn the kitchen down!

OMG rockesquirrel said tomato soup with elbow macaroni, that rocks ! I had no idea anyone but my family did that! Pair that with grilled cheese, you don't even have to grilll the cheese, you can nuke it with tons of butter on both insides of bread for like a minute

try spaghetti and sauce. it's easy, and you can improvise from there. just follow the directions on the side of the pasta and heat the sauce until it's good and bubbly. try adding a pack of frozen veggies to the sauce or ground meat.
