My cat had her first litter 5 weeks ago and she still seems big. Plus she's not feeding the kittens (5) as much as she used to and she's leaking because of it. She does go outside about 2 times a day but stays close to home. Its our 1st cat and we took her in before we knew she was preg. It's a new experience for us. Thanks for your input.

Cats can only get pregnant when they are in heat which is once a year. They go in heat in the late fall and have babies in the spring.
Same with dogs. She isn't in heat right now. She's probably just restless and wanting to hunt - which is totally natural for a cat. Not all cats have a mothering instinct to nurture and look after her kittens (just like not all human mothers). It might just be her personality.
She sounds like she'd benefit from being spayed when the kittens are weaned.

of course...i mean, she wouldnt have the next litter for a few months...so she wouldnt STAY big...but maybe try keeping her inside more and keeping her with the kittens...i mean...the kittens DO stop nursing around 6-7 weeks, so maybe they are just quitting early...but just watch her outside (if possible)
