I just started the South Beach Diet and I can not stick to it for more than like 1 day. it is a pretty easy diet to stick to in the first phase which is what I'm in, but I just can't stick to it! It's driving me crazy!! Any advice for a gal that can't stay away from the bad foods?

Diets are unrealistic. Once you go off them, you gain your weight back. Try cutting out certain foods from your daily intake, and exercise, its the best way to loose weight the proper way

Yes. For the summer eat gazpacho every morning and for lunch, freshly made if you can, or make it on your day off and keep it in the fridge. Drink a lot of it, and put ice in it. Make it with extra fresh garlic and use a lot of parsley.
Use the authentic Spanish recipie.
Coffee, black. No bread. No dairy. Lots of fresh broiled fish or canned salmon. The secret to eating less and feeling full faster is to spice up the foods you make. The flavors of herbs and spicesd mixed together will be what your body registers first. No skin baked chicken with a half canned peach on top. That is fullfilling. Cut up lots of veggies and mke your own dips from raspberry vinegrett, balsmic vinigar, and only use cold pressed virgin olive oil. Basically this is a mediterreanina diet. My sisters and mom eat like this and they are never with a weight proble. plus their hair, nails and skin glow. My mom is 79 and she passes for 50.Slowly add a new food and spice to your basic diet every week or two and you will never have to worry about weight coming back ever again.lol-keep well, -t

Because diets do not work. You have to change your eating habits for the better and enjoy healthy foods that you like. If you don't really enjoy the foods in a fad diet then you won't stick to it that simple. When grocery shopping pick out healthy food but make sure you actually like them. If you don't like broccoli don't shove it down your throat because it's high in fiber. Try something else high in fiber.

I don't belive in diets. I believe in long-term solutions. Changing what you eat slowly over a longer period of times is much better even though you won't see big results at first. You should start by changing one food-choice at a time. There are no "bad food" it's all a matter of quantity.

Diet(1) is what you eat normally. Diet(2) is limited food for limited time. Site below has strategies for improving diet(1) which is easier. For diet(2) you can do fasting which re-sets tastes in foods and habits.

Make a decision to disclipline yourself. You can try all the diets in the world, but if you don't make a quality decision to discipline yourself, none of them will work.

God Bless!
