Then y our metabolism is sluggish and you need to kick it up by doing some type of cardio. Walking, running, dancing, something, and you will begin to lose again. 3X per week, for 30 min. or so.

When a person is significantly overweight, is is easy to shed pounds. I once weighed 250 and had no problem getting to 190 by just walking 30 mins daily! This effect is also easily seen in people like Jared from Subway and many others. Of course, the "last ten pounds" are always the hardest to lose.
A strategy I am trying, with great results, is High Intensity Interval Training. Basically, HIIT is sprinting then recovering, in cycles, for 15-20 mins. When you go all out during your sprints, you basically are giving your muscles an extremely hard order to fill. You end up F'ing them up so much that you burn calories (primarily fat) for the rest of the day as your body tries to recover!
Also, I drink green tea. It's said to aid in weightloss. I'm not really sure but I like the taste and its good for you.

Yeah, everyone hits a plateau. My problem is that when I hit mine, I got frustrated and started eating like a moose. Don't do that. Even if you don't pump up the exercise or any of the other good advice other people have said, just DON'T START PIGGING OUT. I swear... that plateau screws me up every time...

You need to change what you are doing. You can't do the same thing, your body get used to the routine and the foods you are eating. You need to modify what you eat or increase the amount of work out.
