my sister has a cat that was declawed (only the front) and it saves your furniture. The cat is fine and well.. and healthy! He lived through it and THEY ARE PUT TO SLEEP TO HAVE IT DONE. I dont know who you all go to but I wouldnt have it done unless they were asleep.

you just have to wait another month, all my cats were front declawed at 4 months. (vet recommended) and yes, they do put them to sleep and give pain medicine after.
this hasn't affected my cats negatively in any way whatsoever, they don't miss their claws and are perfectly happy, healthy house cats. (he might not be too happy right after surgery and will try to get those bandages off so just make sure you keep him in his carrier overnight so the paws have time to heal)
good luck

Please bear in mind that it is a PAINFUL surgery, and there's a lot of pain involved after the surgery. Imagine having your fingers cut off at the first knuckle and waking up to heal with virtually no pain meds! It hurts!!!
The vet probably won't do it until around 9mos to a year when that cat reaches full size (he's growing a LOT now). You must also be aware that if you have him declawed, he must be strictly an INDOOR kitty from then on -- you cannot let declawed cats go outside. They don't really know they've been declawed and can no longer run up a tree or use their claws to defend themselves if they need to. Neutering, they'll say 6 months, but you could have that done probably at 4-5 mos.

At the Clinic I work for, male cats can be neutered at 6 months or 5 pounds. We recommend waiting to declaw at the same time. However, declawing can be done at 3 months.
There are some vets who will neuter earlier. You might call around and see if there are any in your area that will.

Most vets won't neuter or declaw until the cat is 5 1/2 months old

Declawing a cat is not bad. Your cat will only be bothered by it for a day or two and it takes only a short time for it to be adjusted to walking, jumping, and other activities without claws. My cat was bothered by shots a lot more than she was by being declawed.

We took our cat to have him declawed because of the landlord's requirments and the vet called to tell us" he didn't make it" we were crushed. We didn't know they cut the end of their paw off. We didn't know there was a chance of him dying. I wish we had known. The worst part is thinking what he went through. He was so scared when we took him. He was two years old.
Please Don't declaw your Cats

You have to check with a vet. Their all saying differant ages now a days. Oh and only a monster would declaw an animal. Yes having your finger nails ripped off is boat loads of fun. Please read this link below before you make a cruel and deplorable decision to maim a cat.

see if your landlord will let you put plastic tips on his claws....that is much better than declawing....declawing is amputating at the knuckle....cats can develop arthritis and infections from being declawed...as for spay/neutering, at 8 weeks it can be done
