If one of my friends wanted a sex change I would tell them in exacting detail all the horribly graphic medical proceedures the will need to endure... too horrible to describe here...
If this did not put them off I would approve of the strength of their conviction and give them my blessing and support them 100%.

Emily is a good name for a laydee.

If a friend of mine wanted to have a sex change I'd support him and stand by his side like a friend should. If he'd be more comfortable with using a female name and being referred to as "she" then no problem, I'd do that for him.

If one of my friends wanted a sex change I would respect his wishes because obviously there is some deep rooted reason for him wanting to do this and although the medical procedures for this are quite graphic and dramatic, if it was something he REALLY wanted to do he would think better of you for respecting his feelings and as a consequence, your friendship would grow.

it's his choice, but if i were you, don't tolerate him. he wants a sex change, let him. but to call him emily, no. call him by his name and remind him that he's still a guy no matter what.

I would say that he can do what he wants to do with his body. Also say that you support his descions. It is important to reassure your friend even if you may not support it.
